“Elegance is elimination.” – Cristobal Balenciaga
Smitharc Architects designed this striking home with bold forms and a restrained palette of materials. The selection and treatment of furnishings by Jean Liu Design strives to honor this architectural language. Equally important to this interior design was the client’s desire to maintain a minimalist lifestyle and aesthetic while raising a pair of exuberant, young twins. The end result is an elegant marriage of form and function expressed through the careful curation of objects that include a B&B sectional sofa clad in a grey performance fabric punctuated by Porter Teleo throw pillows, stylish and stain-resistant Ghost chairs by Kartell and a series of classic black and white vintage postcards by Sister Mary Corita Kent.
